Traditional Chinese Brocolli




Ingredients:

2 bunches of Chinese brocolli

5 cloves of garlic minced

2 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 teaspoon sugar

Method:

  1. Wash Chinese brocolli and cut into 3 inch chunks. Divide into stalks an leaves.
  2. Microwave stalks in microwave for 90 seconds. Remove and mix and microwave for further 90 seconds. Put aside in large bowl.
  3. Microwave leaves for 60 seconds. Remove and mix and microwave for further 60 seconds.
  4. Fry minced garlic in vegetable oil until oil starts to bubble. Remove from heat. Hot oil will continue to cook garlic and garlic should turn golden brown.
  5. Add microwaved stalks and leaves into garlic oil. Add oyster sauce and sugar and stir well. Serve immediately with rice.
